Which County Is Your City In?

The city pages on this site are grouped by county. Each county in Illinois has its own circuit court and its own courthouse, so the county a city sits in is the quickest way to find the right page below.

DuPage County sits in the 18th Judicial Circuit, and its courthouse is in Wheaton. DuPage is my home county. The DuPage cities covered here are Naperville, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, Lombard, Villa Park, Addison, Glen Ellyn, Woodridge and Westmont.

Will County is the second-largest county covered on this site. It sits in the 12th Judicial Circuit, and its courthouse is in Joliet. The Will County cities covered here are Joliet, Bolingbrook, Plainfield, Lockport, Romeoville and New Lenox.

Cook, Kane, Lake, Kendall and DeKalb Counties each have their own county courthouse as well. Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, and Cicero are in Cook County; Elgin, Batavia and St. Charles are in Kane County; Waukegan is in Lake County; Oswego is in Kendall County; and DeKalb is in DeKalb County. Aurora sits on the Kane and DuPage county line.
